Downtown Sacramento Homes
There are many different neighborhoods and architectural styles found in the tri county area. Downtown Sacramento ranges from luxury Victorian to smaller Bungalow homes. The Downtown itself has its own ambiance with many shops and dining within walking distance. It has become the center of legislative activity and on any given day or evening you may be dining next to one of our Legislatures.
Luxury Homes
As you move out from the Downtown area you´ll find luxury to moderate priced homes and neighborhoods. Many of the luxury homes are in gated communities and several neighborhoods are homes on horse property but not many of them still exist.

Most of the communities out of Downtown proper are driving communities rather than walking but you will find more acreage available also.
Homes in Roseville, Carmichael and nearby areas
As you drive north east you´ll find Carmichael which has just about everything from older small homes on large lots to luxury homes in gated communities. The architecture will range from bungalow types to Contemporary to Spanish and Mediterranean.
Slightly east you´ll find Fair Oaks, Orangevale, Citrus Heights, Folsom, Roseville, Granite Bay and Rocklin. Each will have their own flavor of living. You can generally find luxury homes in Fair Oaks, Orangevale, Folsom, Roseville, Granite Bay & Rocklin. The most affordable homes will be found in Citrus Heights and Orangevale, with some in Folsom, Roseville and Rocklin. Folsom sits along the American River with bike and running trails from north to Auburn and west to Sacramento.
Granite Bay
Granite Bay, which is located close to Folsom Lake has been "THE" place to live. The lifestyle is very upscale as are the shopping areas and it boasts one of the most beautiful golf courses in all of the county, Granite Bay Golf Club. It is designated as an Autobon course and has a slope of 140 give or take depending on which tees.
El Dorado Hills
Directly east from Sacramento along Highway 50 is El Dorado Hills, a community that has it all. There are older homes on smaller lots as well as new luxury communities surrounding Serrano Golf Club. These communities sit in the foothills and some have incredible views looking out to the Sacramento Valley and Sacramento itself. They also may have views of the Sierras that are breathtaking.
